How to Get to Ons Island
From the Vigo port, take a ferry to Ons Island, part of the Atlantic Islands Natural Park, and a protected area. The island has been populated since prehistoric times. Currently, its villages are known for their traditional way of life and local cuisine.
After a crossing of a little over an hour, you'll have the day to explore the island's hiking trails around mountains and caves. Highlights include the island's lighthouse, one of the largest in Spain, and the local restaurants offering traditional recipes, along with crystal clear waters and beaches.
Travel Permit
As a protected area, Ons Island has a daily visitor limit and requires authorization from the Xunta de Galicia for access. During the high season (15th May to 15th September and at Easter), visitors need to present their own permit, which we will send via email. Outside of this period, permits will be provided by the guide on the day of the tour.
If a group member cannot attend, you must inform us at least 15 days in advance for the Xunta de Galicia to adjust the visitor list.
