Activity Overview
We will convene at the designated time on Cánovas del Castillo street at the Vigo port. After a warm welcome aboard the ferry, we will set off toward San Simón Island.
Throughout the hour-long trip, passengers can admire the stunning landscapes of the Ría de Vigo as we sail beneath the Rande Bridge. Upon arrival, an experienced guide will lead you on a tour of the island.
During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to see the Casa del Guardia, the historic Lazaretto, and the San Pedro Chapel. Moreover, the island offers a spectacular view of Cesantes Beach.
By visiting the interpretation center on the island, you will uncover the rich history of San Simón. Interestingly, this island was left deserted for three decades and has served various purposes over time, including a jail, hospital, and monks' residence.
