Activity Overview

Our adventure begins at the designated meeting point on Cánovas del Castillo street at the port of Vigo. Once on board the ferry, we will set forth towards the stunning San Simón Island.

During the leisurely hour-long trip, you will be treated to breathtaking vistas of the Ría de Vigo as we glide beneath the majestic Rande Bridge. Upon arrival, a knowledgeable guide will accompany you on a tour of the island.

You'll have the opportunity to visit significant landmarks such as the Casa del Guardia, the historic Lazaretto, and the charming San Pedro chapel. Additionally, the island offers a spectacular view of Cesantes Beach, enhancing your experience further.

For those interested in learning more, the island's interpretation centre provides insights into the rich history of San Simón. This island has experienced various transformations over time, including periods as a prison, hospital, and residence for monks, remaining uninhabited for three decades.

After exploring, we will return to the pier to board the ferry back to Vigo.
