Activity Overview

We will commence the electric bike tour in Vigo from the Rúa de García Barbón at the specified time. Are you prepared to explore the city while uncovering the stories behind the Galician hórreos and traditional fishing methods?

Our journey begins with an introduction on operating the electric bikes, allowing you a few minutes to acclimate to your bicycle. Once you are familiar with how they work, we will head towards the Náutico de Vigo yacht club. Here, we’ll pause to delve into the tale of Lola, a poignant emblem that illustrates the trend of Galician migration.

Continuing on, we will navigate the bike lane to the fishing port. Upon arrival, you’ll have a unique opportunity to witness the bustling economic heart of the city and understand the evolution of maritime commerce. The scenic beauty will frame our path as we cycle towards the fishing village of Bouzas.

We will then ride along the coastline, leading us to the statue dos Peixes. Adjacent to the Citröen loading dock, we will discuss how the establishment of this multinational corporation permanently altered Vigo’s social and economic landscape.

As we continue alongside the Atlantic and the estuary, enjoy the refreshing sea breeze while visiting charming coves like Acalbre, Carril, and La Fuente, picturesque gems along Vigo's coast that will captivate you!

Our tour culminates at Samil Beach, the largest beach in Vigo, where you can take in one of Galicia's most stunning views, featuring the Cíes Islands and the southern part of Vigo.

After approximately 2.5 hours, we will return to where we began. Until next time!

Young participants under the age of 6 will be accommodated with an adapted bicycle seat.To ride the electric bike, you must be at least 145 cm (4 ft 7 in) tall.
