Tour Overview

With the humidity rising in the bay and a gentle breeze sweeping across the estuary, evening descends upon Vigo—a prime moment to meet at the Puerta del Sol square, beneath the Siren sculpture. Here, we will commence our exploration of the secrets and legends that define this intriguing Galician city. Vigo is steeped in mystery, with meigas ready to unveil their magic as the sun dips below the horizon.

Galician mythology offers a wealth of captivating tales to uncover as we start our journey. Alongside meigas, synonymous with witches, we will encounter trasnos, mouras, vampires, and losbishomes, along with other enchanting beings that appear throughout our path.

As we meander through the quaint streets of Vigo's historic district, tales of the legendary olive tree will come to light. This tree holds a revered spot in the city's heraldic emblem, linked to a notable event from the past. We will delve into this story during our tour.

Continuing our free adventure into the realm of mysteries and legends, we will approach the harbor area, home to the esteemed Jules Verne Monument. In his novel, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, Verne dedicated a chapter to the storied Vigo Bay. What compelled Captain Nemo to journey to this part of Galicia with his submersible? Is there a hidden truth beneath the Atlantic waters?

After an exploration lasting 1 hour and 45 minutes, our excursion will conclude at the Church Square.
