Monchique Mountains & Bravura Lake Jeep Tour

On this tour, you'll explore the inland region of the Algarve in an all-terrain vehicle. Discover the landscapes of the Monchique Mountains and Bravura Lake.

Tour Options

Upon reservation, you can choose between the following tour options. Both begin at 8:30 am and include pickup from your hotel in Sagres.

Half-Day Tour (4.5 hours)

After hotel pickup, the adventure through the inland region of the Algarve starts. In a 4x4 vehicle, you will explore the Monchique Mountains and Bravura Lake, admiring local flora and fauna, as well as quaint villages.

From Sagres, the drive will take you to Bravura Lake, where you will enjoy a 15-minute walk along the shoreline to a swimming area.

After swimming, the group will proceed to Serra de Monchique, with a stop at an abandoned village in the mountains. The tour includes a visit to a 60-meter high waterfall.

The tour concludes with a drive to the highest part of the Monchique mountains for views of the Algarve.

Full-Day Tour (8 hours)

The full-day tour includes the above itinerary, plus a stop in Monchique for lunch at a local restaurant, featuring regional products.

After lunch, explore the village of Monchique and visit the ruins of the convent of Monchique to learn about the site's legends and secrets. The tour ends with incredible views from this vantage point.
