Monchique Mountains & Bravura Lake Jeep Tour

On this tour, you'll explore the inland region of the Algarve in an all-terrain vehicle, discovering the Monchique Mountains and Bravura Lake.

Tour Options

Upon reservation, you can choose between the following tour options. Both begin at 8:30 am and include pickup from your hotel in Sagres.

Half-Day Tour (4.5 hours)

After hotel pickup, the adventure through the inland region of the Algarve starts. In a 4x4 vehicle, you'll explore the Monchique Mountains and Bravura Lake, observing the local flora and fauna and quaint villages.

From Sagres, the drive will take you to Bravura Lake, where you'll enjoy a 15-minute walk along the shoreline leading to a swimming area.

After swimming, the tour continues to Serra de Monchique with a stop at an abandoned village in the mountains, followed by a visit to a 60-meter high waterfall.

The tour concludes with a drive to the highest point of the Monchique mountains for views of the Algarve.

Full-Day Tour (8 hours)

The full-day tour includes the above itinerary, plus a stop in Monchique for lunch at a local restaurant featuring regional cuisine.

After lunch, you'll explore the village of Monchique. The tour will end at the ruins of the convent of Monchique, where you will learn about its legends and secrets, concluding with impressive views from the vantage point.
