Monchique Mountains & Bravura Lake Jeep Tour

On this tour, you'll explore the inland region of the Algarve in an all-terrain vehicle. Discover the landscapes of the Monchique Mountains and Bravura Lake.

Tour Options

Upon reservation, you'll be able to choose between two tour options. Both begin at 8:30 am and include pickup from your hotel in Sagres.

Half-Day Tour (4.5 hours)

After pickup, the adventure through the inland region of the Algarve starts. In a 4x4 vehicle, you'll explore the Monchique mountains and Bravura Lake to admire local flora, fauna, and some villages.

From Sagres, you'll drive to Bravura Lake, where a 15-minute walk along the shoreline leads to a swimming area. After swimming, the group continues to Serra de Monchique, making a stop at an abandoned village in the mountains. You'll also see a waterfall that is 60 meters high.

Finally, you'll drive to the highest point of the Monchique mountains for views of the Algarve.

Full-Day Tour (8 hours)

The full-day tour includes the half-day itinerary and a stop in Monchique for lunch at a local restaurant, featuring regional products. After lunch, you will explore the village and visit the ruins of the convent of Monchique to learn about associated legends and secrets. The tour concludes with views of the area from this vantage point.
