After a brief introduction, we take the kayak and paddles to set out on the waters of São Miguel. Following the guide's kayak, we paddle around the front of this island of volcanic origin.

During our paddle, the guide shares interesting facts about the formation of this islet of the Azores archipelago, including that it is the crater of a submerged volcano and is also known as 'Anel da Princesa' or 'Princess Ring'.

During our 5-kilometre (3.1-mile) route, we will stop to dive into the Atlantic waters and snorkel, allowing exploration of the seabed and its diverse species.
