Scuba Diving in São Miguel

At the scheduled time, meet at the Vila Franca do Campo Marina. After donning diving equipment, we will board a boat to commence the activity. Are you ready to discover the underwater beauty of São Miguel's south coast?

When booking, specify whether you prefer 1 or 2 dives. The duration will be between three and four hours depending on your choice.

We will navigate along the south coast to the islet of Vila Franca do Campo, seeking optimal dive sites, which will be determined by the tide conditions of the day.

Once in the water, accompanied by a guide, we will explore the marine wildlife of the Azores, encountering species such as bream, large groupers, and moray eels. The volcanic terrain will offer picturesque underwater scenery and reveal shipwrecks and anchors from the 18th century.

Finally, we will return by boat to the starting point, concluding the diving experience.

The start times vary based on the number of dives:

One dive: 9 am and 2 pmTwo dives (available only from July 1st to September 30th): 8:30 am

Necessary Documentation

To participate, you must have the international Open Water certificate or a comparable document. Additionally, a medical form must be filled out upon arrival to evaluate your physical condition. If there are any serious medical issues, a medical certificate will be required.
