Do you have an official diving certificate and want to explore the seabed of São Miguel Island? Then, this activity is perfect for you! You'll enjoy the varied sea wildlife of the Azores and admire ancient shipwrecks.

Scuba Diving in São Miguel

At the selected time, we'll meet at the Vila Franca do Campo Marina. We'll put on the diving equipment and board a boat to start the activity. Are you ready to explore the underwater beauty of the south of São Miguel?

During reservation, indicate if you prefer 1 or 2 dives. The duration will range between three and four hours, depending on the option chosen.

We'll sail along the south coast of the island of São Miguel to reach the islet of Vila Franca do Campo in search of the best dive sites. The exact location of the dives will depend on the tide conditions.

In the open sea, accompanied by the guide, we'll discover the wildlife of the Azores, spotting bream, huge groupers, and moray eels. Additionally, we'll see the effects of volcanic soil on the underwater scenery and explore the remains of shipwrecks and ancient anchors from the 18th century.

Finally, we'll return by boat to the starting point, concluding this diving experience.

One dive: 9 am and 2 pmTwo dives (available only between July 1st and September 30th): 8:30 am

Necessary Documentation

To participate in this diving experience, it is necessary to have the international Open Water certificate or a similar document. Additionally, a medical form must be filled out upon arrival to assess physical condition. For serious medical conditions, a medical certificate is required.
