Do you have an official diving certificate and want to explore the seabed of São Miguel Island? Then, this activity is perfect for you! You'll enjoy the varied sea wildlife of the Azores and admire ancient shipwrecks.

Scuba Diving in São Miguel

At the selected time, we'll meet at the Vila Franca do Campo Marina. We'll put on the diving equipment and board a boat to start the activity. When making your reservation, indicate if you prefer 1 or 2 dives. The duration will range between three and four hours, depending on your choice.

We'll sail along the south coast of São Miguel and reach the islet of Vila Franca do Campo in search of the best dive sites, which will depend on tide conditions that day. Accompanied by the guide, we'll begin to discover the sea wildlife of the Azores, spotting bream, groupers, moray eels, and more.

The dives will also reveal the remains of ancient shipwrecks and anchors from the 18th century.

The starting times vary based on the number of dives:

One dive: 9 am and 2 pmTwo dives (available from July 1st to September 30th): 8:30 am

Necessary Documentation

Participation requires an international Open Water certificate or a similar qualification. You will also fill out a medical form upon arrival to assess your physical condition. A medical certificate is required if you have a serious medical condition.
