Reasons to Explore the Fonseca Winery
The Duero River banks in Portugal yield some of the finest wines in the northern region, particularly in areas like Vila Nova de Gaia. Situated on the opposite side of Porto, the Fonseca Winery boasts a storied history, having been established over 200 years ago.
This wine-tourism center offers a tour lasting approximately one hour. During your self-guided exploration, you will gain insights into the production of Porto wines. You'll also learn about the long-standing legacy of Quinta do Panascal, discover how wines are aged, and investigate innovative, sustainable winemaking practices.
Your journey through the Fonseca Winery will conclude in the tasting room, where you can savor a glass of Oporto Fonseca Bin 27. For younger visitors, there is grape juice made from grapes sourced from the Duero Valley.
