Why Visit The Fonseca Winery?

The Portuguese banks of the Duero produce exquisite wines in towns such as Vila Nova de Gaia. This town, separated from Porto by the river, is home to the Fonseca Winery, which dates back more than 200 years.

This tour of this wine-tourism center lasts around an hour. During your self-guided tour, discover how Porto wines are made, the growing history of the Quinta do Panascal, the aging process of the wines, and state-of-the-art sustainable wine-making techniques.

The guided tour concludes in the tasting room, where you'll try a glass of Oporto Fonseca Bin 27. Children will have the opportunity to try grape juice made from grapes grown in the Duero Valley.

Included

  • Self–guided visit to the Fonseca winery, with info panels in English
  • A glass of Oporto Fonseca Bin 27 (only for those 18 or older) or Duero Valley grape juice (for those under 18)
