Why Visit The Fonseca Winery?

The Portuguese banks of the Duero produce exceptional wines, notably in Vila Nova de Gaia, where the historic Fonseca Winery is located, established over 200 years ago. This wine tourism center tour lasts approximately one hour and includes a self-guided exploration of the wine-making process, the history of Quinta do Panascal, and details on sustainable wine-making techniques.

The guided tour concludes in the tasting room, where participants can taste Oporto Fonseca Bin 27. Children will have grape juice made from Duero Valley grapes.

Winery Tour + Dinner & Fado Show

This option includes a guided tour of the wine cellar followed by a meal with a fado show at Fonseca Winery. The dinner menu features a vegetable cream soup, sea bass, and creme brulée for dessert. Drinks include two glasses of wine: Bin 27 and Sirocco. The entire experience lasts 4 hours.

Opening Times

The free tour at Fonseca Winery is available daily from 11 am to 1 pm and 1:30 pm to 7 pm (final admission at 6 pm). The meal with the fado show occurs every Friday (until October 31, 2024) and Saturdays (until December 31, 2024) at 7 pm.
