Why Visit The Fonseca Winery?

The Portuguese banks of the Duero produce exquisite wines in towns like Vila Nova de Gaia, home to the Fonseca Winery, which has been operating for over 200 years. This tour of the wine-tourism center lasts around one hour and includes a self-guided tour revealing how Porto wines are made, the aging process, the history of Quinta do Panascal, and sustainable wine-making techniques. The tour concludes in the tasting room with a glass of Oporto Fonseca Bin 27, while children can enjoy grape juice from Duero Valley grapes.

Winery Tour + Dinner & Fado Show

This option includes a guided tour of the wine cellar and a meal with a fado show. The dinner features vegetable cream soup, sea bass as the main dish, and creme brulée for dessert, along with two glasses of wine: Bin 27 and Sirocco. The entire experience lasts 4 hours.

Opening Times

The free tour operates daily from 11 am to 1 pm and 1:30 pm to 7 pm (final admission at 6 pm). The meal and fado show are available every Friday (until October 31, 2024) and on Saturdays (until December 31, 2024) at 7 pm.
