Wine Tasting at The Wine School

Reds, whites and rosés...On this Portuguese Wine tasting at The Wine School, try different varieties of famous wines in a famous Vila Nova de Gaia wine bar. You can also take part in a demystify wine workshop!

How Will the Wine Tasting Work?

The experience will take place at The Wine School, a popular wine bar located in Vila Nova de Gaia. This town in north Portugal, separated from Porto by the Duero River, is known for its wine-producing culture.

During the tasting, depending on the option chosen, you'll have between 30 and 45 minutes to try different types of Portuguese wines, experiencing various tastes, aromas, and colours.

At the end of the tasting, you'll be able to consult the guide for questions about the wine-producing culture in Vila Nova de Gaia.

Demystify Wine Workshop

If you choose this option, you'll participate in a Demystify Wine Workshop. The experience begins with an overview of tasting, including concepts, terminology, and selection advice.

You'll learn about the history of wine in Porto, its origins, production, and unique characteristics. The workshop also covers the 5 wine-producing regions in Portugal and their iconic wines.

The session concludes with a tasting of 5 wines paired with 5 typical Portuguese products.

Schedule

Tastings are available from Monday to Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm. The Demystify Wine Workshop runs from Monday to Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm.
