Upon booking, you can select one of the two available options. In either scenario, you can expect pickup at 9 am from your hotel in Vila Pouca de Aguiar, along with transportation, the services of a Spanish and Portuguese-speaking guide, and return to your hotel at 5 pm.

Chaves, Boticas & Montalegre Tour

The journey commences in Alto Tâmega, a picturesque part of the enchanting Trás-os-Montes region.

Our initial destination is Chaves, where we'll gaze at the magnificent medieval fortress, a remnant of historical battles. We'll stroll past the elegant Roman bridge of Trajano and the famed thermal baths of Chaves.

Next, we will visit Boticas, where its charming stone homes are sure to captivate you. Here, we'll tour the Rural Museum, discovering the region's agricultural history through traditional tools and artifacts on display. Following this, you'll enjoy an hour of free time to have lunch.

Our final stop is at Montalegre, home to a remarkable 12th-century castle perched on a hilltop. We'll also explore the Ecomuseum of Montalegre, which showcases the rich heritage and stories of this stunning town.

Chaves, Valpaços & Vila Pouca de Aguiar Tour

If you opt for this itinerary, we will start from Vila Pouca de Aguiar heading towards Chaves. After our visit to this delightful town, we'll proceed to Valpaços to delve into its winemaking traditions. Here, you’ll also have the chance to enjoy lunch.

The tour will wrap up with our return to Vila Pouca de Aguiar, where we will take in its key sites of interest.
