Tras-os-Montes Tour

In this tour of Trás-os-Montes from Vila Pouca de Aguiar, we will visit towns such as Chaves, Boticas, Montalegre, and Valpaços.

Upon reservation, you may select one of the following options. Both include pickup at 9 am at your hotel in Vila Pouca de Aguiar, transportation, a Spanish and Portuguese-speaking guide, and return to your hotel at 5 pm:

Chaves, Boticas & Montalegre Tour

We will first travel to Alto Tâmega. Our first stop is Chaves, where we will view the medieval fortress, the Roman bridge of Trajano, and the thermal baths. Next is Boticas, where we will visit the Rural Museum and have one hour of free time for lunch.

Finally, we will visit Montalegre to see its 12th-century castle and the Ecomuseum of Montalegre to learn about the town's heritage.

Chaves, Valpaços & Vila Pouca de Aguiar Tour

For this option, we will begin at Chaves, then proceed to Valpaços to explore its wine tradition and have lunch. We will conclude by returning to Vila Pouca de Aguiar to explore its main attractions.
