Immerse yourself in the beautiful scenery of the Algarve. Explore the riverside town of Vila Real de Santo António and enjoy a tranquil boat cruise along the River Guadiana.

Vila Real de Santo António Tour & Boat Cruise

We'll meet at 10 am at the Vila Real de Santo António Marina, where we'll start our boat trip on the River Guadiana.

During the boat tour, we'll pass by the medieval village of Castro Marim and view its walls and castle, founded by the Knights of the Templar. We'll also observe the salt marshes and various aquatic birds. On the opposite bank, we'll see the Spanish town of Ayamonte, connected by the Guadiana International Bridge.

After a 1-hour 30-minute boat cruise, we'll return for a guided tour of Vila Real de Santo António, exploring its historical and cultural heritage, including the 1755 earthquake that led to the town's reconstruction. After the tour, lunch will be provided at a typical restaurant.

You will have an hour and a half of free time to explore the city and shop. The tour concludes at 4 pm back at the starting point.

Tour without food

If you prefer to eat independently, you can choose the Vila Real de Santo António self-drive tour option. This includes the same route with free time for lunch on your own.
