Vilafamés Free Tour

On this free tour of Vilafamés, we will explore the Al-Andalus origins of one of Castellón's most beautiful towns.

Description

We will meet at Plaça de la Font and begin the free tour of Vilafamés along Carrer de la Font, admiring the red stone houses that characterize the city.

As we start the tour, we will arrive at Roca Grossa, a rock formation weighing over 2,000 tons and an authentic symbol of Vilafamés. We will learn about its story and significance to the locals.

Continuing our walk among the flowery balconies, we will reach Plaça del Ayuntamiento and the Vilafamés Contemporary Art Museum. Here, we will pause to take in the historic 16th-century buildings and their intriguing history.

Walking along the cobblestone streets, we will ascend to the highest part of the town for panoramic views. We’ll see the Vilafamés Castle, of Arab origin, and the L'Església de la Sang (Church of Blood).

After 2 hours, we’ll conclude the tour and say our goodbyes at Plaça de L’Església.
