Villa de Leyva Guided Visit
At your chosen time, we'll meet in front of the Selina Hotel to begin our guided tour of Villa de Leyva in the Boyacá region.
We will walk towards the main square, home to Our Lady of the Rosary Church, a fountain, and cobbled roads. Villa de Leyva's square is one of the largest in South America, contributing to its designation as a National Monument.
Next, we will explore the origins of the town, dating back to prehistoric times. Villa de Leyva hosts three museums featuring Cretaceous fossils and dinosaur sculptures, including the most complete pliosaur specimen found in the world.
We will stroll through the streets to admire the colonial architecture, noting how many mansions have been converted into craft shops and charming hotels, enhancing the town's appeal in the Eastern Cordillera of the Andes.
After 2 hours and 30 minutes exploring the old part of the town, we will conclude our tour in the town centre.
