Explore the colonial charm of Villa de Leyva on our guided tour of this Colombian National Heritage Town. Discover why this picturesque area is a favored destination in Colombia.

Villa de Leyva Guided Visit

At your chosen time, we'll meet in front of the Selina Hotel to begin our guided tour of Villa de Leyva. Located in the Boyacá region, this town is recognized for its beauty.

We will walk towards the main square, which features Our Lady of the Rosary Church, a fountain, and cobbled roads that give a sense of timelessness. Notably, Villa de Leyva's square is among the largest in South America, contributing to its designation as a National Monument.

We will explore the historical origins of Villa de Leyva, tracing back to prehistoric times. The town houses three museums showcasing Cretaceous fossils and dinosaur sculptures found locally, including the world's most complete pliosaur specimen.

As we admire the colonial architecture, we will stroll through streets featuring colorful balconies and converted mansions that now serve as craft shops and charming hotels, enhancing the town’s appeal.

Our tour will take approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, concluding in the town center.
