On this hiking route through Cucunubá, we'll discover landscapes of the Ubaté Valley, located in the Eastern Cordillera of Colombia.
Cucunubá Hiking Tour
We'll meet at 8 am at the main park of Ubaté. The hike will cover a distance of 5 km (3 miles) and will allow us to explore the biodiversity of the department of Cundinamarca, including deer and approximately 180 different species of birds.
The route includes unique sites such as the Cucunubá lagoon. As we walk through the Colombian páramo, we will share myths and legends related to the area.
We will also visit a waterfall near the lagoon, which was historically significant for the natives. Additionally, we will discuss the importance of wool production in the region, known for producing the best textiles in Creole sheep wool.
At 2 pm, we will return to the meeting point in Ubaté.
