Cucunubá Hiking Tour

We will meet at 8 am at the main park of Ubaté and begin a hiking route to discover the landscapes of the Eastern Cordillera of Colombia.

This 5 km (3 miles) hike will allow us to explore the biodiversity of the department of Cundinamarca, where we may encounter deer, Andean condors, and approximately 180 different species of birds.

The hiking route includes a visit to the Cucunubá lagoon. As we walk through the Colombian páramo, we will listen to myths and legends of the area.

We will reach a waterfall near the lagoon, historically significant for the natives. The tour will also cover the importance of wool in the region, highlighting that Cucunubá is known for producing the best textiles in Creole sheep wool.

We will return to the meeting point in Ubaté at 2 pm.
