Description
Our adventure to the historic city of León begins at 9 am, with a pickup from your hotel in Managua. The bus ride takes about an hour and a half to reach the base of the Momotombo volcano, where we will explore the ruins of León Viejo, founded by Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba.
Next, we will visit present-day León, starting with the Cathedral, where the poet Rubén Darío is buried. Afterward, we will go to the House-Museum dedicated to Darío's childhood and life.
During our exploration, we will visit the local market, where you will have 1 hour of free time to taste traditional products from León.
Our cultural tour includes a stop at the Art Center of the Ortiz-Gurdián Foundation to learn about local artistic techniques. After this enriching experience, we will return to Managua and drop you off at your hotel by 5 pm.
