Somoto Canyon Excursion

Discover an incredible natural gem in the Madriz department of Nicaragua with our excursion to Somoto Canyon from Managua!

Description

The adventure begins with hotel pickup in Managua at 6 am. We will embark on a minibus ride, making a brief stop for a possible breakfast. After approximately 4 hours, we will arrive at the scenic Somoto Canyon, where a knowledgeable guide will provide the necessary equipment for our journey.

We will start with a 1.2-mile (2 km) hike through knee-deep water, followed by a scenic boat ride to the entrance of the canyon.

Upon arrival, you can choose from three options: marvel at the viewpoint, enjoy a refreshing swim in the Coco River, or ride on a giant floatie for 1,312 ft (400 meters) down the canyon. Regardless of your choice, an enjoyable experience is assured.

We will conclude our adventure by 2 pm with a traditional lunch featuring rice, beans, salad, and chicken.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Managua, arriving around 7 pm.
