On this trip to the Los Haitises National Park you'll get to cruise along Samaná Bay and discover one of the most beautiful places in the Dominican Republic.

Los Haitises Day Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel and set off for the Los Haitises National Park. Upon arrival, we'll get into a kayak to explore part of this subtropical rainforest environment. During the boat trip, we'll observe the mangrove areas and the impressive biodiversity.

After navigating the inland channels, we'll head into the open sea to view the karstic mogotes that emerge from the water, serving as habitats for various birds like pelicans, gannets, and herons.

Next, we will explore a cave containing petroglyphs from indigenous groups. Caution is advised as Boa constrictors endemic to this area may be around.

Afterward, we will visit Hotel Paraíso Caño Hondo, surrounded by nature and featuring natural pools of the Jivales River.

We'll conclude the tour with a 4x4 ride to the top of Redonda Mountain for panoramic jungle views. We will return to your hotel between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm.

This day trip includes pickup from hotels in La Romana and Bayahibe. Pickup at hotels in Bayahibe will be from 5 am, and from hotels in La Romana at 5:30 am.
