Day Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and head west towardsSanto Domingo. After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, we'll arrive in the Dominican capital and start a guided tour of its important sights.

We will first visit the Los Tres Ojos Cave near the freshwater lakes, followed by the exterior of the Columbus Lighthouse. Next, we'll view the façade of the Presidential Palace and then enter the Basilica Cathedral of Santa María la Menor, the oldest cathedral in the continent.

We will proceed along Las Damas Street, visit the National Pantheon, and explore Plaza de España before heading to the Alcázar de Colon. We will also visit a souvenir shop showcasing items made from Larimar.

You will have some free time to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch with typical dishes. Following lunch, we will stroll to the boardwalk to enjoy views of the Caribbean Sea before returning to your hotel, where you will arrive 11.5 hours later.

Hotel Pickup

The tour includes pickup from hotels in Bavaro, Punta Cana, Cap Cana, Úvero Alto, Bayahibe, Dominicus, La Romana, Juan Dolio and Boca Chica. Please note that pickups are not included in the Playa Nueva Romana area. If staying there, pickup will be at the Sunix Hacienda gas station in front of the Bahia Principe La Romana and Bouganville hotel complex, with return at the main gate of the complex.

Temporary Closures

The Alcazar de Colon is closed for remodeling. During this time, we will substitute this visit with a tour of the Museum of the Royal Houses (Museo de las Casas Reales), a key Cultural Monument of Dominican History.
