Sugar Field Buggy or Quad Bike Tour

Hop aboard a buggy or a quad bike and get your adrenaline pumping as you drive through the spectacular sugar cane fields in the south of the island.

Activity Details

We'll pick you up at your hotel at the indicated time and head towards the town of Benérito. During the trip, you'll enjoy the scenery of colorful houses characterizing the south of the Dominican Republic.

Stopping at a local ranch, we'll leave the minibus to start an exciting buggy tour, traversing uneven and muddy terrain.

Participants will see extensive sugar cane plantations, visit a weighing station, and taste this local product with the farmers. A visit to a typical batey, a community of sugar cane workers, will also allow for learning about their daily life.

Following this, we'll go to the Chavón River for a swim, before returning to the ranch for tropical fruits, mamajuana (a spiced alcoholic beverage), coffee, and cocoa. At the end of the tour, we will return to the hotels, with an estimated arrival time of 3 hours later.

Types of Buggies

When booking, you can reserve a buggy for one person or two people. Both options utilize the same two-seat vehicles.

Hotel Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels located in La Romana and Bayahibe. Guests at Bahia Principe La Romana and Bouganville hotels will be picked up at the lobby of the Bahia Principe La Romana hotel due to vehicle entry restrictions at Bouganville.
