Road of the Seven Lakes + San Martin de los Andes
Your adventure begins at 9:30 am when we collect you from your accommodation in Villa La Angostura. You will journey in a comfortable minibus, setting off along the renowned Seven Lakes Road, a route celebrated for its breathtaking scenery within the Neuquén province.
As we travel down this enchanting road, also known as Route 40, you'll encounter the stunning lakes that lend the road its name: Espejo, Correntoso, Escondido, Villarino, Faulkner, Machonico, and Lacar. We'll pause at various viewpoints to soak in the views and capture the beauty—be sure to have your cameras ready!
While passing through the northern region of Lake Correntoso, we will stop at a traditional farm owned by the Quintupurais, a historical Mapuche family who will share insights into their lifestyle. You'll have the opportunity to enjoy their delicious fried cakes.
Upon completing our journey along the Seven Lakes Road, we will arrive at San Martin de los Andes, where you will have three hours to explore this enchanting Patagonian town. With its distinctive architecture, captivating landscapes, and diverse cultural and culinary offerings, you are sure to be charmed.
In the late afternoon, we will take the return trip along Route 40, concluding the excursion upon your arrival back at your hotel in Villa La Angostura around 6:30 pm.
