Day Trip to Oxapampa

We'll meet at 8 am at Leopoldo Krausse Avenue in Villa Rica for a day in the village of Oxapampa. The trip will take about an hour and a half.

Upon arrival, we will begin a guided tour of Oxapampa to learn about its history, founded by Austro-German immigrants, becoming the second colony after Pozuzo. We will walk through the streets to see wooden buildings with European-style architecture, including the notable church of Santa Rosa.

Subsequently, we will visit a handicraft store for souvenirs and then the Floralp dairy plant, where we will see how they produce various cheeses and yogurts.

Next, we will enter Wharapo, a mill that extracts sugar cane juice for traditional drinks, with tasting opportunities available.

Afterward, we will explore the Selva Encantadora de Oxapampa (Enchanted Jungle of Oxapampa), including a visit to Tunki Cave, featuring stalactites and stalagmites.

We will conclude our trip with a break at a ranch, offering activities such as canoeing or horseback riding. We will return to Villa Rica, arriving around 6 pm.
