2, 3 or 4-Day Tour to Villa Rica & Oxapampa

Day 1

On the first day, your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Villa Rica or the local bus station. Our journey will take us into the heart of the Peruvian Central Rainforest. The first highlight will be a visit to a coffee plantation in Villa Rica, where you'll discover the coffee cultivation process and sample the rich flavors of local brews.

Following this, we will explore the scenic Oconal Lagoon on foot, immersing ourselves in the biodiversity of this vibrant wetland area. After a well-deserved lunch, we will proceed to the Lion Waterfall, where you'll learn about the intriguing origins of its name.

The day continues at the La Cumbre Viewpoint and Los Ositos orchidarium, a delightful space known for its diverse orchid species and plant life. To complete our first day, we will venture to a coffee quality control lab, where you'll have the chance to taste various coffee types and learn to appreciate their distinct aromas, colors, and flavors. You will spend the night in a comfortable hotel in Villa Rica.

Day 2

On the second day, after breakfast, we will drive to Oxapampa, known as one of the earliest Austro-German settlements in Peru. Here, you can admire its distinctive European-style architecture characterized by wooden structures and gabled roofs, after which we will explore a local crafts shop.

Next, our journey takes us to a dairy facility, where we'll get a firsthand look at how a variety of cheeses and yogurts are made. We will also visit the Warapo, a local mill where sugarcane juice is processed.

A break for lunch precedes an afternoon trip to Tunki Cave, famed for its unique geological formations. To end the day, you'll have the freedom to engage in activities such as horseriding and canoeing at a nearby ranch before returning to your hotel or the bus station in Villa Rica for the night.

2-Day Tour + 1 Day in the Perené Valley

Opting for this extension means spending an additional night in Villa Rica, then heading to the Perené Valley on the following morning. En route, we will view Cerro de Sal, historically significant for local Indigenous communities' salt extraction. We will also explore Tincuy, where two major rivers converge.

A visit to an Asháninka community follows, allowing insight into their cultural practices through traditional dances. We will then trek to where the Bride's Veil and Bayoz Waterfalls are located and enjoy a boat ride on the Perené River. After stopping at a local butterfly farm and zoo, we will return to Villa Rica.

2-Day Tour + 1 Day in Pozuzo

At the conclusion of the second day, we will journey to Pozuzo for an overnight stay. The next morning, we will tour this Austro-German colony, recognized as the first in South America. Highlights will include the town's welcoming gate, the central square, and a replica of the Norton ship, concluding with a visit to the Schafferer Museum for insights into the settlers' history.

After a lunch break, we will admire the Emperor Wilhelm I Bridge and enjoy a tasting session at a local craft brewery, sampling traditional German beers. We will return to Villa Rica by the end of the day.
