Are you up for a journey along the most breathtaking road in Argentina? Join us on this expedition to explore the Cuesta de Miranda viewpoint and Aicuña, where we'll also visit a charming village tucked away in the province.

Description

We'll depart from your Villa Union hotel at the designated time, setting our course towards the east. Our route will lead us onto National Routes 76 and 40, where the latter will guide us to Aicuña, a picturesque village situated in the northwestern reaches of Argentina's La Rioja province. With a population of merely 400 inhabitants, this small town appears to have frozen in time.

Strolling through the village's streets, you'll gain insight into Aicuña's history and its impressive wine production. Following our village exploration, we'll pause so you can eat the lunch you packed.

From there, we'll once again embark on RN-40, making our way to the winding marvel of Cuesta de Miranda, perched at an altitude of 2000 meters (6,560 feet). Along this route, we'll pause at various viewpoints that offer views of the signature reddish landscapes of the La Rioja province.

After taking in the views at Cuesta de Miranda, we'll retrace our steps along RN-40, journeying back to Villa Union. You can anticipate reaching your hotel approximately 5 hours after our initial departure.
