Embark on an exciting journey from Villa Union to Chilecito, one of La Rioja's main mining towns located in the northwest of Argentina. The captivating landscapes of this region await you!

Description

We'll start our adventure by picking you up at your Villa Union hotel at the designated time. From there, we'll head eastward.

Our route will lead us along National Route 40, an iconic highway traversing the vast western region of Argentina from south to north. Along this roadway, we'll make a stop at the scenic viewpoints of the Cuesta de Miranda, celebrated for its winding path through the mountains of La Rioja.

After enjoying the sights from the Cuesta de Miranda, perched at an elevation of 2,400 meters (7,875 feet), our journey continues toward Chilecito. We will visit Cable Car Station 2, constructed in 1904, which was vital for transporting metals from the La Mexicana mine to the city.

Our Chilecito tour includes a visit to the towering Cristo del Portezuelo, a 16-meter-high (52-foot) sculpture. After this experience, you'll have the opportunity for a self-paced lunch and those interested can explore a local winery.

Finally, we'll regroup in Chilecito and return to your Villa Union hotel, expecting to arrive back 8 hours after our departure.
