Description

We'll pick you up from your Villa Union hotel at the appointed time and set out in a rugged 4x4 vehicle along the iconic National Route 40. This famous highway traverses the entire western expanse of Argentina, leading us to La Rioja's renowned Vallecito Encantado, or the Enchanted Valley.

After navigating the arid landscapes of La Rioja, we'll reach this remarkable natural wonder and embark on a low-difficulty hiking adventure through the Vallecito Encantado. The hike lasts approximately 45 minutes, guiding us through elevations that reach a maximum height of 1,300 meters (4,265 feet).

As we explore the Vallecito Encantado, you'll witness a sudden depression within the arid desert, with the plain encircled by the Cerros Colorados to the east, and the tip of the Sierra de Maz visible to the west, traversed by National Route 40.

During our journey, you'll encounter captivating rock formations in the Vallecito Encantado, including one known as La Copa del Mundo, resembling the trophy earned by Argentina in the 2022 Qatar World Cup, along with other geoforms like the Mexican Hat and El Barco.

Upon completing the hike, we'll return to Villa Union, with your arrival at your hotel scheduled for approximately 3 hours after our initial departure.
