This mansion residence, a masterpiece of the French Renaissance, invites you to explore its splendor at your own pace with this ticket. Acquired by Pierre Mondot de la Marthonie in 1510, the castle transformed from a defensive fortress to a sumptuous Renaissance abode.
Wander through the rooms of Château de Puyguilhem and immerse yourself in the decorative taste of Pierre Mondot de la Marthonie, closely associated with Louise of Savoy, mother of King Francis I. In 1515, he became the first president of the Parliament of Paris.
The entrance ticket grants you access to various rooms, including the kitchens and bedrooms. Enjoy stunning panoramic views of Villars from the castle's windows.

Château de Puyguilhem welcomes visitors during the following hours:
October 1 to March 31: Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5:30 pmApril 1 to 30: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5:30 pmMay 2 to August 31: Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 6:30 pmSeptember 1 to 30: Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5:30 pm
Final admission is 45 minutes before closing time. On December 24 and 31, the closing time is at 4 pm. Be aware that these schedules are flexible and subject to change.
Free Admission
The following people can enjoy free admission to Château de Puyguilhem:
Young people from the EU aged 18 to 25Children under 18Unemployed individuals, disabled people with one accompanying person, journalists, architecture students, tourism professionals, military, police, and State security forces.
Additionally, admission is free on the first Sunday of the month from January 1 to March 31 and November 1 to December 31, as well as the third weekend of September.
