Why Visit Château de Puyguilhem?

This residence, a masterpiece of the French Renaissance, allows exploration at your own pace with the ticket. Acquired by Pierre Mondot de la Marthonie in 1510, the castle was transformed from a defensive fortress to a Renaissance abode.

Explore the interiors and appreciate the decorative style of Mondot, linked to Louise of Savoy, the mother of King Francis I. In 1515, he became the first president of the Parliament of Paris.

The entrance ticket provides access to various rooms, including the kitchens and bedrooms. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Villars from the windows.

Château de Puyguilhem welcomes visitors during the following hours:

October 1 to March 31: Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5:30 pmApril 1 to 30: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5:30 pmMay 2 to August 31: Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 6:30 pmSeptember 1 to 30: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5:30 pm

Final admission is 45 minutes before closing time. On December 24 and 31, closing time is at 4 pm. Please note that these schedules are flexible and subject to change.

Free Admission

The following individuals can enjoy free admission:

Young people from the European Union aged 18 to 25Children under 18, regardless of nationalityUnemployed individuals, disabled visitors with one accompanying person, journalists, architecture students, tourism professionals, military, police, and other State security forces.

Additionally, admission is free on the first Sunday of the month from January 1 to March 31 and November 1 to December 31, as well as on the third weekend of September.
