This mansion residence, a masterpiece of the French Renaissance, invites exploration with an entrance ticket. Acquired by Pierre Mondot de la Marthonie in 1510, the castle transitioned from a defensive fortress to a Renaissance abode. Visitors can explore the castle's rooms, including the kitchens and bedrooms where important figures of the Renaissance once stayed, and enjoy panoramic views of Villars from the windows.

Château de Puyguilhem is open during the following hours:

October 1 to March 31: Wednesday to Sunday, 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5:30 pmApril 1 to 30: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5:30 pmMay 2 to August 31: Monday to Sunday, 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 6:30 pmSeptember 1 to 30: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5:30 pm

Final admission is 45 minutes before closing time. On December 24 and 31, the closing time is at 4 pm. These schedules are flexible and subject to change.

The following individuals can receive free admission to Château de Puyguilhem:

Young people from the EU aged 18 to 25Children under 18, regardless of nationalityUnemployed individuals, disabled people with one companion, journalists, architecture students, tourism professionals, military, police, and State security forces.

Additionally, free admission is offered on the first Sunday of the month between January 1 and March 31, between November 1 and December 31, and the third weekend of September.
