Hiking Expedition on the Güejar River

Your journey begins with a 7 am pickup from your hotel in Villavicencio, followed by a scenic three-hour drive to the municipality of Lejanías. Prepare to be captivated by the enchanting features of the Güejar River!

Upon arrival, we’ll set off on a 3.5-kilometre (2.1 miles) hiking trail that promises to showcase the river's most picturesque locations along with its rich biodiversity. Throughout the hike, you'll discover fascinating details about the ecosystem!

As we stroll beside the Güejar River, anticipate encountering lush greenery, vivid trails, and stunning waterfalls. The splendor of Caño Lajón and Caño Jordán waterfalls will capture your admiration.

Continuing our trek, we’ll arrive at a section filled with natural pools and jacuzzis—the perfect spot for a rejuvenating swim. Feeling hungry? This pause allows us to enjoy lunch amidst breathtaking views.

We will return to your hotel in Villavicencio by 5 pm, concluding a memorable day in nature.
