Fort of Saint-André Tickets

This ticket will allow you entry to the Fort of Saint-André, a notable medieval fortress in Provence.

Why Visit Fort Saint-André?

Located in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, the Saint-André fortress is a key monument for understanding 14th-century French military architecture. It was commissioned by King Philip IV to reinforce his authority, strategically placed on a promontory overlooking the Rhône. Visitors can enjoy views of Avignon and, on clear days, the surrounding natural areas, including the Alpilles, Luberon massifs, and Mont Ventoux.

Opening Times

Saint-André Fort is open daily with the following schedule:

October 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025: 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pmJune 1 to July 14, 2025: 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pmJuly 15 to August 18, 2025: 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pmAugust 19 to September 30, 2025: 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm

The last admission is one hour before closing time.

Special Times

On December 24 and 31, the fort will close at 4 pm.

Free Admission

Admission to the Fort of Saint-André is free for:

Young people from the EU aged 18 to 25.Children under 18, regardless of nationality.

Free admission is also available for everyone on the first Sunday of the month between January 1 and March 31, November 1 and December 31, and the third weekend of September. Visitors must present a certifying document at the ticket office to obtain free admission.
