Fort of Saint-André Tickets

This ticket will allow you entry to the Fort of Saint-André and provides access to a notable medieval fortress in Provence.

Why Visit Fort Saint-André?

Located in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, the Saint-André fortress is significant for understanding 14th-century French military architecture. Commissioned by King Philip IV, it is situated on a strategic promontory on the banks of the Rhône. Visitors can enjoy views of Avignon and, on clear days, natural landscapes including the Alpilles and Luberon massifs, as well as Mont Ventoux.

Opening Times

Saint-André Fort operates daily with the following hours:

October 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025: 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pmJune 1 to July 14, 2025: 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pmJuly 15 to August 18, 2025: 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pmAugust 19 to September 30, 2025: 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm

Final admission is one hour before closing time.

Special Times

On Wednesday, November 12 and Thursday, November 20, the monument will be closed from 10 am to 1 pm.On December 24 and December 31, the monument will close at 4 pm.

Free Admission

Admission to the Fort of Saint-André is free for:

EU citizens aged 18 to 25.Children under 18, regardless of nationality.

Free admission is also available on the first Sunday of each month from January to March and November to December, as well as during the third weekend of September. A certifying document must be presented at the ticket office to obtain a free ticket.
