Trakai Day Trip

We'll meet at 11 am in Odminiu Square in Vilnius and depart on a 40-minute bus journey to Trakai, located 40 minutes away and surrounded by five lakes. During the trip, you can listen to an audio guide in English to learn about the area's history.

Upon arrival in Trakai, you will have 2 hours 30 minutes of free time to explore the city or the castle at your leisure. If you decide to visit the castle, head to the shores of Lake Galvé to see Trakai Castle, situated on a small island and regarded as the most beautiful medieval fortress in Lithuania.

To reach the castle, walk across the drawbridge. Inside, you can explore grand rooms filled with medieval furniture, costumes, and maps. You may also climb the wooden stairs up to the Grand Duke's Tower and visit additional rooms, immersing yourself in the Middle Ages.

After exploring, we will regroup at the designated meeting point in Trakai for our return journey to Vilnius, arriving back at the starting point by 3 pm.
