Trakai Day Trip

We'll meet at 11 am in Odminiu Square in Vilnius and depart for a 40-minute bus journey to Trakai, a picturesque town surrounded by five lakes. During the trip, you can listen to an audio guide in English to learn about the area's history.

Upon arrival in Trakai, you will have 2 hours 30 minutes of free time to explore the city or the castle at your leisure. If you opt to visit the castle, make your way to the shores of Lake Galvé, where Trakai Castle sits on a small island, recognized as the most beautiful medieval fortress in Lithuania.

To reach the castle, cross the drawbridge. Inside, you'll discover grand rooms filled with medieval furniture, costumes, and maps. You can ascend the Grand Duke's Tower and climb the wooden stairs to see the remaining rooms, immersing yourself in the Middle Ages.

After your exploration, regroup at our designated meeting point in Trakai for the return journey to Vilnius. We will arrive back at the starting point by 3 pm.
