Tour Overview
We will commence this complimentary tour of Viña del Mar at the exit of the Miramar metro station. Are you prepared for an exploration of the city? While we won't be entering any museums, palaces, or monuments, we will enjoy observing their architecture from outside and uncover their historical context.
Our journey will begin at the Brunet Castle, where we will be captivated by this magnificent Romanticism palace, reminiscent of European medieval strongholds. After discussing its history, we will proceed to see the Reloj de Flores (Flower Clock), a prominent symbol of Viña del Mar.
Next, we will stroll to the Wulff Castle, an impressive palace located by the Pacific Ocean. Following this, our walk will take us past iconic landmarks including the Viña del Mar Casino, the Iglesia de los Padres Carmelitas, and the Fonck Museum, where you can find a moai statue from Easter Island at the entrance.
We will continue to the notable Palacio Carrasco, constructed at the dawn of the 20th century. Subsequently, we’ll visit the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, celebrated as the oldest church in Viña del Mar.
As our approximately 3-hour tour wraps up, we will gather in front of the Palacio Vergara. Here, you will be able to take in the Venetian Neo-Gothic architecture of this impressive edifice, which currently houses a painting museum. This location is recognized as one of the most important art galleries in Chile!
