Cueva del Silencio Hike

We will meet at the Church of Viñales at the scheduled time. The hike begins on the Palmarito trail through the Viñales Valley.

We will enter the valley and observe the mogotes, unique rock formations, and the extensive tobacco and coffee plantations. A stop will be made to learn about the drying of tobacco leaves, the cigar-making process, and to try an authentic Cuban cigar.

Next, we will visit the Cueva del Silencio, also known as the "Cave of Silence." Inside the cave, we will descend nearly 328 feet (100 meters) to reach a lagoon surrounded by rock walls.

We will spend half an hour exploring the cave before returning to daylight and heading to a nearby lake for a swim. You will have free time to enjoy the scenery and have a meal.

Our hike will conclude as we return to the starting point, completing a 5-hour adventure.
