Cueva del Silencio Hike

At the scheduled time, we will meet in front of the Church of Viñales. We will then begin a hiking route along the Palmarito trail, traversing the Viñales Valley.

We will venture into the valley to see the mogotes, unique rock formations rising from the fields. Additionally, we will observe the extensive tobacco and coffee plantations. A stop will be made to see the drying of tobacco leaves, learn about the cigar-making process, and try an authentic Cuban cigar.

Next, we will arrive at the Cueva del Silencio or "Cave of Silence." We will descend almost 328 feet (100 meters) into the cave until reaching a lagoon submerged within the rock walls.

We will spend half an hour exploring the cave before exiting to visit a nearby lake where you can take a dip. Free time will be provided to admire the scenery and have something to eat.

Our hike will conclude as we return to the starting point after a 5-hour adventure.
