Delve into the history of western Cuba on this bike tour of the Viñales Valley. Explore the area's past while riding through its lush landscapes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Viñales Valley Bike Tour
At the scheduled time, pickup will be at Calle Orlando Nodarse. After a brief introduction, bicycles will be provided for the tour through this Cuban valley.
The first stop will be the Mirador de los Jazmines, offering views over the Viñales Valley.
Next, we will continue to the Cueva del Indio, historically inhabited by Indigenous Peoples. A short walk inside the cave will feature formations of stalactites and stalagmites. A boat ride on the underground river will also be included.
Our tour continues at a local tobacco farm to learn about the fermentation and selection of leaves used for making Habanos, noted as some of the most prestigious cigars globally. Witness the farmers' work and visit the despalillo, a small factory where the tobacco leaves are processed.
Finally, we will visit the Mural of Prehistory to learn about ancient life in Viñales while enjoying a piña colada.
The bike tour lasts four hours, concluding with a drop-off at the starting point.
