Do you want to go to see the biggest Buddha statue in the West? This tour to the Buda of Ibiraçu will allow you to discover the most zen part of Brazil!

Itinerary

At the scheduled time, you'll be collected from your hotel and brought to Ibiraçu to see the biggest Buddha statue in the West! Upon arrival, visit Portal do Buddhista square, which features the giant Buddha, Torii square, and 15 statues of meditating Buddhas along with the Grove of Wisdom.

The Statue of the Giant Buddha stands 38 metres (124.67 feet) tall, making it one of the largest Buddha statues globally, surpassed only by the one in Hong Kong. It is larger than Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro.

Continue to Torii Square, inaugurated in 2004 for the 30-year anniversary of the Zen Morro da Vargem Monastery, which serves as a meditation site. Visit the great Torii gate, symbolizing dialogue between Eastern and Western cultures. Finally, see the statue of the 15 meditating Buddhas, embodying serenity in adversity.

After an hour of exploration at Ibiraçu, you'll return to the starting point. The tour lasts approximately 4 hours from the scheduled start time.
