Itinerary

At the scheduled time, you will be collected from your hotel and taken to Ibiraçu. Get ready to see the biggest Buddha statue in the West!

Upon arrival, you will visit Portal do Buddhista square, home to key attractions such as the giant Buddha, Torii square, 15 meditating Buddhas, and the Grove of Wisdom.

The Giant Buddha statue measures 38 metres (124.67 feet) in height, ranking among the biggest Buddha statues in the world, surpassed only by the one in Hong Kong. It is larger than Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro.

You will continue exploring as you stroll around, heading to Torii Square, inaugurated in 2004 to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of the Zen Morro da Vargem Monastery, dedicated to meditation. You will also visit the great Torii gate, symbolizing the dialogue between Eastern and Western cultures.

Finally, you will see the 15 meditating Buddhas, representing serenity in adversity.

After an hour of visiting Ibiraçu, you will return to the start point. The tour concludes approximately 4 hours after the scheduled start time.
