Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Tour

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Kampala at 7 am and drive north towards Murchison Falls National Park, where the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is located.

After approximately three hours of driving, we'll reach our destination and set out on a walking tour in search of these endangered animals. Rhinos became extinct in Uganda in 1983 due to the civil war. The Wildlife Authority was established ten years later to protect and help wildlife thrive, leading to the creation of the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. The first rhino was born in 2009. During our walk, we will attempt to spot some of the 30 rhinos in the area while learning interesting facts about this species.

After the walking tour of the sanctuary, we will provide you with free time to rest or participate in additional activities, such as a Nile River boat ride, if desired.

Finally, we will return you to your hotel in Kampala, concluding the tour at 4 pm.
