When booking, you have three options to enjoy Lake Wanaka. All begin at Roys Bay at the specified times:

Cruise to Ruby Island (1 hour)

Selecting this option means departing by catamaran at 1 pm. After about 15 minutes, we'll arrive at Ruby Island, where you can disembark to walk and photograph various viewpoints.

Cruise to Stevensons Island (2 hours)

This more remote island trip departs from Wanaka at 3 pm. We will sail for approximately 45 minutes to reach Stevensons Island. Here, you have the option of taking a half-hour guided tour or exploring independently. The views of the Southern Alps from the island are notable.

Cruise to Mou Waho Island (3.5 hours)

This trip visits the predator-free nature reserve of Mou Waho Island, featuring a glacier-formed lake at its summit. You will meet in Wanaka at 9 am and hike for 2 hours to explore Mou Waho’s natural treasures. The hike includes a climb to a lookout point for regional views and information about local flora, fauna, geology, and history.
