Mou Waho Island Day Trip

The tour meets in Wanaka Marina at the chosen time, climbing aboard the boat which will take us on a pleasant 45-minute cruise on Lake Wanaka until we reach our destination.

Mou Waho Island is unique; it features a lake, on an island, in a lake, which is itself on an island.

Upon arrival at Mou Waho, participants will embark on a one and a half hour trek through the nature reserve and ascend to the highest peak for views of Lake Wanaka and its surroundings. This trek provides an opportunity to observe New Zealand's exotic birds, such as the weka.

After the exploration, we will board the boat again and return to the starting point.
