Visiting the memorial and museum of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp is essential for understanding the horrors of World War II. Discover its history on this day trip from Warsaw.
Auschwitz Day Trip
This trip offers an important opportunity to comprehend the extent of the tragic events of World War II through a visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp. After being picked up at your hotel in Warsaw, you will drive for approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes to reach O?wi?cim, a town that witnessed the acts of the Nazis from 1940 to 1945. During this period, the Third Reich constructed concentration and extermination camps, known as Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau, which are now the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, established in 1947.
Your guided tour will cover significant areas of the former concentration camp, including the prison blocks, barracks, crematoriums, and gas chambers. You will also see the railway tracks that transported many prisoners to their deaths. This experience serves to honor those who suffered and educate visitors to prevent such atrocities from occurring again.
After the guided tour, you will return to Warsaw, arriving back at your hotel 15 hours after pickup.
