Majdanek Concentration Camp & Lublin Private Tour
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Warsaw and head to Lublin. Once there, we will visit the Majdanek concentration camp.
Entering this historical site, we will learn about a time when barbarism ravaged Europe. This compound was ordered to be built by Himmler to house Polish prisoners of war and later became an extermination camp. We will tour this location to see the crematorium ovens, gas chambers, and mausoleum where victims' ashes are kept.
We will then proceed to the historic center of Lublin, where you will have an hour of free time for lunch. Afterward, we will stroll through the old town, discussing the old Yeshiva study center and pre-war Jewish vestiges. Information about the Talmud and the Hebrew-speaking world will also be shared.
Next, we will visit Lublin Castle, a medieval stronghold from the 12th century. We will climb its tower for views of the city and later enter the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, which features frescoes by artist Andrej Ruthenian.
After leaving the fortress, we will return to Warsaw, arriving at your hotel after a total of 10 hours.
