Discover an array of beautiful, historic buildings on our Warsaw & ?azienki Park Tour. We'll explore the birthplace of one of the most iconic scientists, Marie Curie, and visit a charming park.
Warsaw & ?azienki Park Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Sigismund's Column to begin our tour of Warsaw.
In front of the column, we will see the Royal Castle, the former residence of Sigismund III. We will then proceed to St. John's Cathedral to appreciate the Mazovian Gothic structure and the remnants of the fortified network at the Barbican.
Next, we will learn about Marie Curie and her research on radioactivity, since she was born in Warsaw. We will then visit the Warsaw Uprising Monument, commemorating those who died in the 1944 rebellion.
After 2 hours in the historic centre, we will head to ?azienki Park, known as the Royal Baths Park. We will see the baths, the Temple of Diana, and artworks such as the sculpture of Fryderyk Chopin.
We will also admire the ?azienki Palace, a neoclassical building from the 17th century located on an artificial island, featuring Ionic columns and a balustrade with mythological symbolism. As we walk through the park, we might observe squirrels and peacocks in the gardens.
Our tour will conclude after 4 hours at the exit of the park.
