Warwick Castle is one of the oldest Medieval fortresses in the United Kingdom. It has a complex history, having served as a military stronghold and a country house. Open to the public since 1978, it now attracts many visitors. The castle features Capability Brown gardens, medieval vaults, and former private residences of the Earl. Visitors can also climb the towers and ramparts for views of the countryside. Summer highlights include a jousting tournament, birds of prey displays, and the world’s largest trebuchet launching a fireball.
