Surf Lessons in Hikkaduwa

When you book your surf course in Hikkaduwa, you will select the option that best suits your experience level. Each class includes assistance and explanations from an English-speaking instructor and lasts 2 hours.

Beginner level

This course is ideal for individuals with no prior surfing experience. It focuses on teaching the basics, allowing participants to catch waves independently in a short time. Instruction begins on the sand, followed by practice in shallow areas.

We recommend taking at least 5 beginner lessons to progress to the intermediate level.

Intermediate level

Designed for surfers who have some experience, this course helps refine your skills. If you can balance on the board, you'll practice intermediate-level techniques including turns, spins, and pirouettes, utilizing the coves and reefs of Hikkaduwa.

Advanced level

Recommended for experienced surfers, this option focuses on improving technique. Instructors will guide you to identify the best waves and tackle challenging ones, helping you become an expert.

Kids

Children aged 10 to 18 years can participate if accompanied by an adult.
