Surf Lessons in Hikkaduwa

When you book your surf course in Hikkaduwa, you'll select the option that best suits your experience level. Each class includes assistance and explanations from an English-speaking instructor and lasts 2 hours.

Beginner level

This course is for those who have never surfed. It teaches the basics, allowing you to catch the waves on your own in a short time. Initial theory is taught on the sand, followed by practice in shallow areas.

It is recommended to take at least 5 beginner lessons before progressing to the intermediate level.

Intermediate level

This course is designed for those with prior surfing experience who want to enhance their skills. If you can balance on the board, this course will help you practice techniques for intermediate-level turns, spins, and pirouettes. Hikkaduwa has numerous spots with coves and reefs perfect for these moves.

Advanced level

This option is for experienced surfers looking to improve their technique. The instructor will teach you how to identify the best waves and tackle challenging ones. By the end of the course, you'll be skilled surfers.

Kids

Children between 10 and 18 years old can participate if accompanied by an adult.
