Látrabjarg & Raudasandur Day Trip

We will meet at the selected meeting point at 9 am and head to the Látrabjarg cliffs, located 60 kilometres to the south, which is the most westerly point in Iceland. Along the way, we will see views of the Patreksfjordur fjord.

Once we arrive, we will walk to observe the largest seabird colonies in the world. In Látrabjarg, you will meet the famous puffins, small birds with colourful beaks that are ideal for photography.

We will admire the cliffs, which rise over 400 metres and extend 14 kilometres along the coast. As we explore the edges, the guide will share stories related to the area, including tales of a ship and an abandoned plane.

The tour will also include a visit to one of Iceland's well-known beaches, Raudasandur, which features fine reddish sand and stretches for over 10 kilometres. You can stroll along the beach and enjoy the scenery with the contrast of the black cliffs and blue ocean.

Our final stop will be the Hnjótur Heritage Museum, where we will learn about Iceland's early history, lifestyle, and culture. The tour will conclude in Patreksfjordur at approximately 3 pm.
