Látrabjarg & Raudasandur Day Trip
We'll meet at the chosen meeting point at 9 am and travel to the Latrábjarg cliffs, 60 kilometres south, the most westerly point in Iceland. During the journey, we will view the Patreksfjordur fjord.
Upon arrival, we will walk to see one of the world's largest seabird colonies, including puffins known for their colorful beaks.
The cliffs rise over 400 metres and extend 14 kilometres along the coast. As we explore the edges, the guide will share intriguing local stories, including accounts of a ship and an abandoned plane.
The tour will then proceed to Raudasandur, a 10-kilometre long beach with fine reddish sand. We will enjoy the contrast between the black cliffs and the blue ocean while strolling along the beach.
Our final stop will be at the Hnjótur Heritage Museum to learn about Iceland's history and culture. The tour concludes in Patreksfjordur at approximately 3 pm.
