Látrabjarg & Raudasandur Day Trip

We'll meet at the selected meeting point at 9 am and head to the Latrábjarg cliffs, 60 kilometres to the south, the most westerly point in Iceland. Along the way, we'll enjoy views of the Patreksfjordur fjord.

At Latrábjarg, we'll visit the largest seabird colonies in the world and observe puffins, small birds with colourful beaks. The cliffs rise over 400 metres and extend for 14 kilometres along the coast. The guide will share stories from the area, including tales of a ship and an abandoned plane.

The tour will then proceed to Raudasandur beach, known for its fine reddish sand and more than 10 kilometres in length. We'll enjoy the contrast between the black cliffs and the deep blue ocean as we stroll along the shore.

Our final stop will be the Hnjótur Heritage Museum, where we will learn about Iceland's oldest history and culture. The tour will conclude with our arrival in Patreksfjordur at approximately 3 pm.
