Látrabjarg & Raudasandur Day Trip

We'll meet at the selected meeting point at 9 am and head to the Látrabjarg cliffs, 60 kilometers to the south - the most westerly point in Iceland. Along the way, we'll enjoy views of the Patreksfjordur fjord.

Upon arrival, we'll walk to observe one of the largest seabird colonies globally. In Látrabjarg, you will encounter puffins, small birds known for their colorful beaks. We'll admire the cliffs, over 400 meters high and extending for 14 kilometers along the coast. The guide will share intriguing stories about the area, including those of a ship and an abandoned plane.

The tour continues to Raudasandur, a beach with fine reddish sand stretching over 10 kilometers. We will enjoy the contrast between the black cliffs and the deep blue ocean while strolling along the beach.

Our final stop will be the Hnjótur Heritage Museum to learn about Iceland's history, way of life, and culture. The tour concludes in Patreksfjordur at approximately 3 pm.
