Experience a day full of landscapes with a trip to the Látrabjarg cliffs and Raudasandur beach, including opportunities to photograph puffins.

Látrabjarg & Raudasandur Day Trip

The tour begins at the selected meeting point at 9 am, followed by a journey to the Látrabjarg cliffs, located 60 kilometers to the south, the most westerly point in Iceland. Participants will view the Patreksfjordur fjord along the way.

Upon arrival, there will be a walk to observe one of the largest seabird colonies, featuring puffins with colorful beaks. The cliffs rise over 400 meters and stretch for 14 kilometers along the coast, with a guide sharing stories about the area, including historical events.

The tour will then proceed to Raudasandur, a beach known for its fine reddish sand and spanning over 10 kilometers. Attendees will appreciate the scenery and the contrast between the cliffs and the ocean during a beach stroll.

The final stop will be the Hnjótur Heritage Museum, focusing on Iceland’s history, way of life, and culture. The tour concludes in Patreksfjordur at approximately 3 pm.
