Visit one of Iceland's best beaches on our Raudasandur Day Trip from Patreksfjördur. You'll travel through breathtaking Icelandic scenery and walk along Raudasandur's famous red sand.

Raudasandur Day Trip

We'll meet at 9 am at Þórsgata 8a in Patreksfjördur and drive south to Raudasandur. The 30-minute journey offers views of the Patreksfjördur fjord from the minibus.

Raudasandur, meaning "red sand," features over 6 miles (10 kilometers) of reddish-colored sand. You can stroll around the beach and admire the contrast of the red sand against the surrounding black cliffs.

On clear days, the Snæfellsjökull glacier may be visible in the distance. Additionally, we might see seal families on the beach.

After visiting the beach and learning about its history, we will return to the starting point and conclude the day trip at around 2 pm.
