Options

Kandy Tour (300 km)

If you choose this option, the drive to Kandy takes two to three hours from Colombo, depending on traffic. In Kandy, you can visit Pinnawala and its elephant sanctuary, the Giragama tea plantations, or the Gem Museum. The drive to Sigiriya and Dambulla takes between three and four hours. First, visit the Dambulla Monastery, carved into the rock. You can then visit a traditional village or the Sigiriya Fort, which features an ancient palace and various historical sites. Its name means Lion Rock.
