Sri Lanka 8-Day Tour

On this 8-day tour through Sri Lanka, explore European heritage towns, natural landscapes, tea fields, ruins, and the Buddha's tooth.

Tour Description

Day 1: Colombo – Negombo

Pickup from Colombo airport and transfer to Negombo, a fishing village 12 kilometers north. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Negombo – Dambulla – Habarana

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a visit to the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight in Habarana.

Day 3: Habarana – Polonnuruwa – Sigiriya – Habarana

Visit Polonnuruwa to explore historical ruins and then to Sigiriya to climb the Lion's Rock and see frescoes and gardens. Return to Habarana for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Habarana – Matale – Kandy

After breakfast, visit Matale for spice cultivation followed by a visit to the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy. Dinner and overnight in Kandy.

Day 5: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Travel to Nuwara Eliya for a walk through tea plantations. Free afternoon for local exploration. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya – Yala

Breakfast, then head to Yala National Park for a safari. Return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 7: Yala – Galle – Kalutara

Breakfast and travel to Galle to explore the fortress. Proceed to Kalutara for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Kalutara – Colombo Airport

Breakfast at the hotel, then return to Colombo for airport drop-off.

Important

For trips in September or October, Yala National Park will be closed. Visit Lunugamvehera National Park instead on Day 7.

Minimum of two participants required. Single participant options: pay a supplement for a private tour or choose an alternative date. For odd-numbered groups, book double rooms first, then single rooms.

Flights

Arrive at the airport by 11:30 am on the first day. Late arrivals incur a transfer fee of 65USD per person.
