Sroda Slaska, Abbey of Lubiaz & St. Hedwig Tour
At 9 am, pick-up will be from your hotel in central Wroclaw to head to Sroda Slaska, where a medieval royal treasure can be seen.
Visit the Regional Museum of Sroda Slaska to view its collection including 3000 silver coins, jewelry, and a gold crown with precious stones believed to have belonged to Queen Blanche de Valois. Some treasure was reported stolen during its discovery, with a plan to return the looted items still in effect, although some pieces remain unrecovered.
Next, explore Lubiaz Abbey, the largest Cistercian monastery globally, showcasing Baroque architecture and a façade extending 200 meters. Inside, see multicolored ceilings, two refectories, a Gothic church, and the crypt housing the Dukes of Silesia.
After an hour for lunch, the tour continues to the sanctuary of St. Hedwig in Trzebnica, founded in 1202. Observe the late Romanesque interior and hear about its history marked by famines and fires.
Finally, the tour concludes with a return to Wroclaw, arriving at your hotel by 4 pm.
