Sroda Slaska, Abbey of Lubiaz & St. Hedwig Tour
At 9 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in the center of Wroclaw and head to Sroda Slaska to see a medieval royal treasure.
We will enter the Regional Museum of Sroda Slaska to view its collection of works from the late 20th century, including 3000 silver coins, jewelry, and a gold crown with precious stones that may have belonged to Queen Blanche de Valois. Some stolen treasure remains unrecovered.
Next, we will visit the Lubiaz Abbey, the world's largest Cistercian monastery, showcasing Baroque architecture and a 200-meter-long façade. Inside, we will see multicolored ceilings, two refectories, a Gothic church, and the crypt where the Dukes of Silesia are buried.
Following this, you will have an hour of free time for lunch. Afterwards, we will proceed to the sanctuary of St. Hedwig in Trzebnica, a Cistercian convent founded in 1202. Here, we will admire the late Romanesque interior and learn about the region's past famines and fires.
Finally, we will return to Wroclaw, arriving at your hotel at 4 pm.
