University of Wroclaw Guided Tour

We'll meet at the blue door of the University of Wroclaw at the indicated time. Prepare for an impressive experience inside.

The museum, located in the University's key building, features a baroque style interior. It was designed under the order of Emperor Leopold I of Bohemia, aiming to establish a school for philosophy and Catholic theology.

We will spend one hour touring the museum, observing various works of art throughout the rooms and hallways. Notably, the University of Wroclaw is associated with 10 Nobel Prize winners.

The tour includes a visit to the Aula Leopoldina, the largest room in the building. It is notable as the only well-preserved secular baroque space in Poland, featuring illusionist paintings, intricate decorations, and sculptures.

The guide will explain the significance of the Jesuit College and the Counter-Reformation on the Austrian legacy of the institution. We will also visit the Oratorium Marianum, the Imperial Staircase, and the Mathematical Tower.

The tour will conclude at the museum exit, 1 hour and 45 minutes after starting.
