University of Wroclaw Guided Tour
We'll meet at the blue door of the University of Wroclaw at 2:30 pm. Prepare for an impressive experience inside.
The tour includes a visit to the museum in the University's main building, noted for its baroque style established under the order of Emperor Leopold I of Bohemia, focused on philosophy and Catholic theology.
We'll spend one hour touring the museum, viewing various artworks in the rooms and hallways. The University of Wroclaw has been home to 10 Nobel Prize winners.
The tour includes the Aula Leopoldina, the largest room in the building, recognized as Poland's sole well-preserved secular baroque space. Its illusionist paintings, decorations, and sculptures are notable.
The guide will explain the significance of the Jesuit College and the Counter-Reformation for the Austrian legacy. We will also visit the Oratorium Marianum, the Imperial Staircase, and the Mathematical Tower.
The tour concludes at 3:45 pm at the museum exit.
