Explore the University of Wroclaw
We'll meet at the Fencer Fountain at the University of Wroc?aw at the designated time. With your audio guides, explore the museum located in the university's most important building, decorated in a distinctly Baroque style under Emperor Leopold I of Bohemia. The main aim was to create a school dedicated to philosophy and Catholic theology.
During your experience, you can admire various works of art throughout the rooms and corridors. The University of Wroc?aw was home to 10 Nobel Prize winners.
You will visit the Aula Leopoldina, the largest room in the building and the only secular Baroque space in Poland preserved in good condition. Enjoy the illusionist paintings, decoration, and sculptures.
The audio guide will explain the significance of the Austrian legacy, Jesuit College, and Counter-Reformation. The self-guided tour also covers the Oratorium Marianum and the Imperial Staircase box.
Don't miss the Mathematical Tower, where the exhibition space of the University of Wroc?aw Museum is located. Climb the Imperial Staircase to enjoy panoramic city views, situated in one of the 18th century's outstanding astronomical observatories.
