University of Wroclaw Guided Tour
We'll meet at the blue door of the University of Wroclaw at the indicated time. The interior will surprise you with its remarkable baroque style, commissioned by Emperor Leopold I of Bohemia, intended for philosophy and Catholic theology.
We'll spend an hour touring the museum, observing various works of art that adorn the rooms and hallways. The University of Wroclaw has been home to 10 Nobel Prize winners.
The tour includes a visit to the Aula Leopoldina, the largest room in the building, noted for being the only well-preserved secular baroque space in Poland featuring illusionistic paintings, intricate decoration, and sculptures.
During the tour, the guide will explain the significance of the Jesuit College and the Counter-Reformation in relation to the Austrian legacy. We'll also visit the Oratorium Marianum, the Imperial Staircase, and the Mathematical Tower.
The tour will conclude at the museum exit, lasting 1 hour and 45 minutes.
