Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Xi'an and set off on a 1.5-hour journey to the Famen Temple, one of the most important Buddhist temples in China that houses the relics of Shakyamuni.
During the guided tour of the Famen Temple, lasting between 2.5 and 3 hours, we'll admire its pagoda and learn about its significance to followers of Buddha, who seek meditation, peace, and tranquility.
After the temple visit, we’ll enjoy a typical Chinese lunch at a traditional restaurant. Next, we’ll head to the Qianling Mausoleum, built 1300 years ago at an altitude of more than 1000 meters (3280 feet).
On arrival, we’ll walk the "spiritual path" to the mausoleum, which commemorates members of the House of Li, the imperial family of the Tang Dynasty. At the gate, we will be welcomed by two stone lions.
We will continue with a guided tour of the complex, including the tombs of Emperor Gaozong and Empress Wu, and visit Prince Yide's Mausoleum to see the murals depicting scenes of palace life. This experience is sure to impress.
At the end of the tour, we will return to your hotel in Xi'an, arriving 8 hours after pickup.
