Delve into the history of the Tang Dynasty, Shakyamuni, and Emperor Gaozong on this private tour of the Famen Temple and the Qianling Mausoleum.

Description

At the indicated time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Xi'an and begin the 1.5-hour journey to the Famen Temple, a key Buddhist site housing relics of Shakyamuni.

The guided tour of the Famen Temple lasts between 2.5 and 3 hours, where we will observe its notable pagoda and understand its significance to Buddha followers seeking meditation, peace, and tranquility.

Following the temple visit, we will enjoy a typical Chinese lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we will proceed to the Qianling Mausoleum, built 1300 years ago at more than 1000 meters (3280 feet) altitude.

Upon arrival, we will walk the “spiritual path” to the mausoleum, which honors the House of Li of the Tang Dynasty. At the entrance, two stone lions will greet us.

The guided tour of the complex includes visits to the tombs of Emperor Gaozong and Empress Wu, and Prince Yide's Mausoleum, featuring murals depicting palace life.

We will return to your hotel in Xi'an approximately 8 hours after pickup.
