Why visit the Terracotta Army?
The Terracotta Army is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, comprising over 7000 real-size soldiers, horses, and carriages with a rich history. Discovered by local farmers searching for water near Xian, these figures date back to 221 B.C. when the young emperor Qin Shi Huang ordered their creation. Visitors can explore three pits filled with funerary art and observe the intricacies of the ancient statues, including the enamel decoration in different colors and the significance of the symbols on the warrior's clothing.
Opening Times
The Terracotta Army Museum is open Monday to Sunday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with the last entry an hour before closing.
