Khiva Private Tour

We'll meet at the designated time at your hotel in Khiva to start our private tour of the ancient capital of Chorasmia.

Our first stop will be the Itchan Kala quarter, surrounded by stone walls up to 12 meters high. Here, we'll admire notable examples of Central Asian architecture including mosques, mausoleums, and madrasas while learning about the history of Khiva.

Next, we'll visit the Mohammed Amin Khan Madrasa and its minaret, the largest in Khiva and Central Asia. We will also stop at the 19th-century Mohammed Rahimkhan Madrasa to learn about its historical significance.

The tour will continue through Itchan Kala to see the Kunya Arch and the 18th-century Juma Mosque, Khiva's most important mosque. We'll then explore the Tash-Khovli Palace, noted for its blue and white majolica decoration.

Following this visit, we will walk through the Pakhlavan Makhmud mausoleum and see the Islam Khoja Minaret, a prominent tower visible from anywhere in the city.

The walking tour will last a total of 6 hours and will conclude at this last location.
