Khiva Private Tour

Your journey begins as we gather at your Khiva hotel at the arranged time to commence our private adventure through the ancient capital of Chorasmia.

We will stroll towards the Itchan Kala district, encased by towering stone fortifications that reach 12 meters (almost 40 feet) in height. This area is home to stunning instances of Central Asian architecture, featuring an array of mosques, mausoleums, and madrasas, while providing insights into the rich narrative of this Uzbek locale.

Next, our path will lead us to the magnificent Mohammed Amin Khan Madrasa along with its towering minaret, recognized as the largest in both Khiva and Central Asia. We will also pause before the notable Mohammed Rahimkhan Madrasa, delving into the stories of the illustrious figures associated with these historic sites.

The journey will proceed through Itchan Kala to view the Kunya Arch and the significant Juma Mosque, dating back to the 18th century and celebrated as Khiva's most vital mosque. We will then explore the Tash-Khovli Palace, an architectural jewel renowned for its exquisite blue and white majolica adornments.

As we continue, we will pass the Khan's Harem, taking in its warm-hued adobe brick exterior, with intricately carved wooden latticework offering a tantalizing glimpse into the inner workings of its historical life. The skyline, accented by blue minarets and domes, creates a visually striking contrast.

Our tour will culminate at the Ollaqulikhan Caravanserai, a former shelter for traders and travelers along the Silk Road. Its dual levels are arranged around a spacious courtyard and transport you back to the lively exchanges of caravans brimming with carpets, spices, and ceramics.

We will wrap up our walking tour, which will span approximately 5 to 6 hours in total.
